Important Public Meetings Dates and Topics

Please announce these to your groups and post them wherever possible

May 14th: Guerneville Vets’ Hall; 6:00 p.m.;

Issue: The New Labor Center in Guerneville (Susanna Mayo 869-8046 for additional information)

May 28^th:  Guerneville Vets’ Hall; 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.: 

Issue:  Efren and SCWA (Water Agency, Brenda Adelman, Margaret Kennett, Sweetwater, and possibly the RiverKeeper on strategies to deal with low flow.

June 1, 2, 3, 5 & 8:  Board of Supervisors’ Meeting Room;
all days 9 a.m. til 5 p.m. except the 2^nd (start time will be 8:30 a.m.)
Because of a closed session during break, meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. on the 2^nd.

Issue:  Budget

These meetings are extremely important. Efren has personally promised me that he is going to raise a lot of ruckus about the raise that the Board of Supes gave to themselves and the County’s Upper Management levels. Mike Reilly voted for this. Obviously he will now have a nicer retirement package after twelve years while so many citizens of the county have los their jobs as well as their retirement savings! What arrogance the Board of Supervisors have. Efren told me that only he and Shirley Zane have been opposed to this luxury package. Please write your emails, send letters and/or attend some of these meetings so your voice can be heard. If we can get only one Supervisor to vote with Efren and Shirley, maybe this raise can be rescinded.
